Please note that support for all authentication tokens generated on nrt3, nrt4, or ladsweb website will be discontinued on May 1, 2024. They will no longer work after that date. To continue using your data download scripts, you will need to start using tokens generated from Earthdata Login (EDL) website instead. For generating token from EDL website:
No other changes are needed to your scripts, just replace the current (nrt3/4 or LAADS) token with the Earthdata token. However, you should consider updating your scripts to handle timeouts, if they do not already because using Earthdata tokens might be slower at times. Also, note that Earthdata tokens expire every 60 days. For questions regarding the tokens or EOSDIS Earthdata Login, please contact Earthdata Support. |
