Update:2023-08-01 19:15 am ET -- Issues with the LAADS DAAC's Ceph Object Storage have been resolved and therefore all LAADS data, including users' orders are available for download now. Please note that all Terra- and Aqua-MODIS forward-processing was resumed on July 31, 2023, and the SNPP- and JPSS1-VIIRS forward-processing is expected to resume today (Aug 1) so may take some time to catch up. You can contact LAADS User Services if you still experience any issue with data download. ------------- Update:2023-07-31 11:45 am ET -- The primary processing stream of Near-Real-Time, the nrt3 system started operational processing on July 26. The GIBS World-View images and FIRMS are now being populated from the images generated from NRT processing on the primary nrt3. The MODAPS and Land SIPS will resume forward-processing of MODIS and VIIRS standard products today, starting with processing of data from July 20, 2023, when the processing was halted due to system-wide problems. ------------- Update:2023-07-25 02:45 pm ET -- Issues with the LAADS DAAC's Ceph Object Storage have impacted all data-access-related functions that will likely get restored by sometime next week. We will update this Alert as soon as we resolve this issue. We apologize for this inconvenience. ------------- Update: 2023-07-24 03:15pm ET -- All MODAPS processing is currently frozen and data download is still not available, given a system wide backend issue that has affected all our operations, starting early last Friday. Our systems team has been trying to troubleshoot this and have made some progress, but we still have not got any sort of go ahead from them to resume our operations. At this point, we are not sure when we might be able to resume all STD forward processing for MODIS and VIIRS. Please note this and we will provide another update, once data download and processing at our end have been fully restored. ------------- 2023-07-21 07:00am ET -- Currently data download from LAADS archive is unavailable. This includes files download from users' LAADS orders. Our SAs are actively working to resolve the issue but we don't have any estimated time for the resolution. This note will be updated as soon as the issue is resolved. |
