Description |
Update: 2023-02-28 03:15ET -- LANCE MODIS operations from nrt3/4 should be back to nominal status as of 2-23-03-02 12:45z. All Aqua processing has resumed, and all Terra and Aqua processes are once again using the NRT specific session based L0 PDS files (SPDS), and the Aqua specific GBAD predicted ephemeris/attitude data. For Aqua, all NRT products should be available from 2023-03-01 onwards. For any of the immediately prior days, users are requested to grab the data from the standard processing stream, made available through LAADS. MODAPS will continue to monitor the performance and will post any further update, if necessary. ----------------- MODAPS-LANCE had interruptions in the L0 data delivery for all instruments, including MODIS Terra/Aqua and SNPP/J1 VIIRS, starting around 2023-02-24 23:06z, because of some system anomaly with our upstream L0 data provider. The delivery of the NRT specific session based (SPDS) L0 was resumed after that but since then, for MODIS Terra/Aqua, we are seeing some time conversion errors associated with these SPDS L0, and we are actively working to resolve this. For now, the Terra NRT processing has been resumed, using the Time based 2-hr (TPDS) L0 files from Terra OPS string. So, all Terra NRT products are being produced at a higher latency, from nrt3/4. Aqua NRT processing continues to be on hold as the time conversion errors are also affecting the generation of all Aqua NRT specific predicted attitude and ephemeris files. |
