Description |
The Long-Term Data Record (LTDR) project continues to produce and distribute a four-decades-long global land surface climate data record (CDR) that is critically important to studying global climate change. Serving as an important bridge, this project helps connect data derived from the NOAA Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR), the EOS Moderate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer ( MODIS), the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS), and Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) VIIRS missions. The NOAA-19-derived AVHRR products were stopped producing on May 23, 2022. Developed by the European Space Agency, and operated by the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites, the MetOp missions continue to support the AVHRR sensor among their payload. The MetOp-B-derived LTDR CDR collections are available from the LAADS DAAC from January 16, 2013 through the present. You may access the collection-5 MetOp-B-derived LTDR products in archive-set 465 via the following link: https://ladsweb.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/archive/allData/465/ |
