Update- April 18-13:00:00, Aqua MODIS was put back on science mode starting day 105-00:38 (April 15) but the data was unusable as it was being collected in all Night mode and we were waiting for the Focal-Plane Array (FPA) temperatures to stabilize. The regular day rate data collection started on day 106 but the FPA temperatures had not cooled to nominal levels till day 107-00:30 (April 17). MODAPS has started generating and distributing all Aqua data on NRT starting day 107-00:30 but the users are requested to exercise caution as the MODIS Characterization Support Team (MCST) is still conducting intensive assessment of all instrument and onboard calibration devices. The Aqua spacecraft transitioned to Earth Point Safe Mode at 090/17:59:08 UTC. Instruments are in safe/standby modes. No science data is being produced. The cause of the anomaly is under investigation. |
