The LAADS DAAC is pleased to announce the release of two V2.0 Level-2 Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) and Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS) fusion products. They each derive from the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration-20 (NOAA-20) missions. The fusion product contains M-band (750 m spatial resolution) earth-view radiances based on the Aqua Moderate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer's (MODIS) spectral response functions. The two V2.0 products include the following:
The SNPP VIIRS+CrIS collection starts from April 17, 2012, and the NOAA20 VIIRS+CrIS collection starts from Feb 17, 2018. The V1.0 collection of these two products will remain available through the end of September 2022, and subsequently decommissioned from the LAADS DAAC.
