NASA LANCE NRT has started distributing the MODIS Collection 6.1 (C61) BRDF/Albedo products. Users are requested to switch to this C61 variation from the currently distributed Collection 6 (C6) versions. Please note that due to certain C61 NRT specific algorithm changes, users may note some differences between the C6 and the C61 versions, above and beyond any difference caused by C61 specific changes in the upstream L1B. Further details about this C61 NRT changes can be found here. NASA LANCE will continue generating the C6 variations untill October 7, 2021 (i.e., for another two weeks) to allow the users to switch to the C61 versions, following which, the C6 variations will be discontinued. |
