Description |
On October 5, 2020 at 15:21:12, Terra MODIS experienced a Printed Wire Assembly (PWA) failure that has caused an ongoing reduction and irregularity in the overall Terra MODIS daytime coverage over high latitudes in both hemispheres. In many polar and some subpolar sunlit scenes, L1B visible and near infrared (VNIR) reflectances are missing. Degraded results are seen in both cloud mask (MOD35_L2) and cloud top properties (MOD06_L2) products. A fix from the science team has been delivered and tested. This will be implemented from August 9, 2021. For additional details, refer to the description in the Atmosphere Discipline Team's website under Issue #14. |
