Description

Updated 2021-05-21 -- Our security development team has indicated that each web site (ladsweb, NRT3, and NRT4) needs its own token to use data download script. So the token that you generate for LAADSWeb will not work with NRT, and vice versa. The security development team might look into the option of changing it so that one token would work everywhere, but not sure whether or when they might implement that. So for now, each site needs its own token. Each site has a "Profiles" menu that, once you are logged in, allows you to generate a token for that site.

Also note that tokens generated on Earthdata user profile page (https://urs.earthdata.nasa.gov/user_tokens), which start with "EDL-" would not work with LAADSweb or NRT[3,4] data downloads scripts.
----------------

Starting 6/1/2021 we will be expiring all app keys in favor of using tokens. If you authenticate via the"Authorization: Bearer " HTTPS header and the app key you provide is formatted as XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX then the app key will stop working starting 6/1/2021. To prevent disruption in your access to data please generate a new token.

You can click to find instructions to generate a new token.
