The LAADS DAAC is pleased to announce the release of the SNPP VIIRS Dark Target Aerosol Level-2 product, which provides satellite-derived measurements of Aerosol Optical Thickness (AOT) and their properties over land and ocean, and spectral AOT and their size parameters over oceans every 6 minutes, globally. In contrast to collection-001 of this product, this collection-011 uses bowtie-restored pixels that are used for both cloud masking and for performing some retrievals using the restored pixels as well. The temporal range for this product starts from March 26, 2012.
The Science Domain tree offers access to only the Collection 1.1 of the Aerosol Dark Target L2 product.
