2016-05-19T16:55:00Z We have resumed making a few VIIRS Near Real Time products available as of today. (NPP_09GA_NRT, NPP_SRFLMIP_NRT, NPP_SRFLIIP_NRT, VNP14IMG_NRT, on ftp://nrt3.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov.) The processing of the VIIRS Level 2 HDF files on NRT3 has been changed to use time based, rather than session-based Production Data Set (PDS) files. The result will be an increased latency from approx 3 hours to approx 8 hours. This is due an error that was detected in the underlying Level 0 data. We apologize for any inconvenience. The VIIRS 375 m data distributed through FIRMS will not be affected but VIIRS Corrected Reflectance imagery in Worldview and GIBS will be.
