Description |
MODAPS is currently set to reprocess all C61 Terra L1B, Atmosphere, and the Land LST MOD21 product suite for the period 2022-10-23 (DOY 2022-296) through 2022-11-21 (DOY 2022-325 included). This reprocessing will address the significant change that was noticed in some of the PV-LWIR detectors for bands 27-30 due to crosstalk, after the resumption of Terra processing, following two successive Constellation Exit Maneuvers (CEM) on October 12 and October 19. More details regarding this Terra CEM last and the progression of events following that can be found here. The same L1B LUTs that resolve this drift in the PV-LWIR cross-talk, have been operational in the C61 forward processing stream starting 2022-11-22 (DOY 2022-326). The main impact from this cross-talk update is expected to be on cloud and water vapor Atmosphere products. The MOD21 LST product is also expected to show differences of up to 0.5-1K, mainly over the vegetated areas. Users are advised to take note of this and start using the reprocessed versions of these products for any future studies. |
